About Me

Dr. Satish Patel has been teaching for more than 24 years at Gujarat Vidyapith. He specializes in Computer, System and Technology Management. Over the years he has taught diverse courses such as “Computer Application”, “Management Information System”, “Technology Management, “ICT”, etc. Dr. Satish Patel has been instrumental in designing courses such as “MBA (Rural Management)” and “BRS(RPD)”. He has authored 8 books and more than 49 articles in various national and international journals. He has 7 research projects to his credit. He has presented more than 13 research papers in conferences and seminars. He is working as Member, Departmental IQAC since 2014. He is also a Nodal officer for AICTE, NIRF, AISHE, UBA, KCG, Technical & various ICT related committee.

An academic and administrator includes a variety of tasks, ranging from general duties to specific ones. Among these tasks are assisting in admision, working in sectors like various commitee and task groups, coordinating examination and assessment processes, providing administrative support , contributing to policy making and planning, supervising staff, drafting and interpreting regulations, maintaining high levels of quality assurance, purchasing goods and equipment, dealing with queries and complaints procedures, managing budgets, processing invoices, liaising with other administrative-teaching staff and other related activities.

ICT Development

The Computer Centre is a large network to provide computing services to the institute and related organisations in the campus. It provides internet facilities and has local area networks to service different sets of users. These subnets are interconnected and linked to the internet, integrating the digital environment of GUJARAT VIDYAPITH into one composite unit. IT service management refers to the entirety of activities – directed by policies, organized and structured in processes and supporting procedures – that are performed by an organization or part of an organization to plan, deliver, operate and control IT services offered to department.

National Service

Extension activities of a university provide a link between the University and the community. Extension has always been an integral part of Gujarat Vidyapith.Vidyapith is continuously working with the aim of extension and community welfare through its various curricular/co-curricular /extra curricular works. Our Education/ Research/Extension are based upon the basic human values to help individuals/families and community as a whole to lead a successful life in changing our neighbourhood society which is also the surviving strength of Gujarat Vidyapith. Apart from that promote the welfare of the student and teachers to participate in training, for the overall development of the institution.
